Effective Date: May 15, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern McKee, Voorhees & Sease PLC’s (“MVS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) workforce SMS notification program (the “Program”), through which MVS sends internal workflow notifications by short message service (SMS) text message to firm employees and owners.
The Program is referred to as the “MVS Workforce SMS Notification Program.”
The Program delivers SMS notifications to current MVS employees and owners in connection with the firm’s internal workflow. Notification types include, but are not limited to: conflict-check participation reminders for licensed attorneys and patent agents, matter-assignment notices, deadline reminders, batch-summary alerts, and other case-management and administrative communications generated by the firm’s internal practice-management platform. The Program is for internal firm use only and does not deliver messages to clients, opposing counsel, firm service providers, or members of the public.
Participation in the Program is limited to current employees and owners of MVS. There is no public enrollment mechanism, web form, or text-keyword opt-in. Employee’s and owner’s mobile contact numbers are sourced exclusively from the firm’s internal human-resources records of employee and owner work-contact information. Consent to receive Program messages is established at the time of employment through written acknowledgment of the firm’s electronic communications policy. Employees and owners are removed from the Program when their employment with the firm ends.
Message frequency varies by role and by ongoing firm workflow. Recipients in attorney and patent-agent roles may receive several messages per week; other employees may receive messages less frequently. Total volume is generally expected to remain within a low number of messages per recipient per business day.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier may apply to messages sent and received under the Program. MVS does not charge any additional fee for participating in the Program or for receiving Program messages.
You may withdraw consent and stop receiving messages from the Program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. After you reply STOP, no further messages will be sent to your number under the Program. You may also withdraw consent by contacting the firm’s Information Technology department directly or by submitting a written request to firm management.
Reply HELP to any message you receive for Program assistance information. You may also contact the support address listed in Section 8.
For questions about the Program, contact the firm’s Information Technology department at it@ipmvs.com or by telephone at (515) 288-3667.
Information about how MVS handles personal data, including data used in connection with the Program, is described in the firm’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.ipmvs.com/privacy-policy/.
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
MVS reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time without notice. The most current version of these Terms will be posted at https://www.ipmvs.com/workforce-sms-terms/.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
