Monica Nagpal is a Patent Agent at McKee, Voorhees & Sease (MVS), where she supports the firm’s life-sciences & agritech clients with patent preparation, prosecution and portfolio management. She holds a Master of Science in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Rajasthan and spent nearly a decade prosecuting patent applications in India before relocating to the U.S. Monica is experienced in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for biotechnology, chemistry, agriculture (including plant-breeding innovations and seed technologies), and diagnostics. She is also skilled in preparing sequence listings, PCT filings, freedom-to-operate analyses and advising clients on patentability of inventions in complex biopharma and plant-variety contexts.
Monica’s prior roles include Intellectual Property Management Specialist at a major plant-science research center and patent-agent positions where she collaborated with research foundations and start-ups on global IP strategy. At MVS, she integrates closely with our foreign-filing and docketing teams to deliver efficient, high-quality service for university and tech-transfer clients. Monica is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and remains active in exploring emerging intersections of biotechnology, agritech and innovation commercialization.
