Firm sponsors blood drive, benefit bake saleMay 27, 2005

The attorneys and staff of McKee, Voorhees & Sease, P.L.C. sponsored a building-wide blood drive and benefit bake sale Friday, May 27. In conjunction with the Blood Center of Iowa, a total of 32 pints of blood were obtained on a very important weekend.’This is a crucial time for the Blood Center,’ said Diana Davis of BCI. With the long weekend and increased risk of accidents, the Memorial Day holiday calls for an increase in donations. In addition to the blood drive held in the lobby of 801 Grand Avenue of Des Moines, Iowa, a bake sale featuring homemade donated items was held to benefit Disabled American Veterans. Within just a few hours, the table of cookies, brownies and pies disappeared and raised $85 for DAV.
