Bruce W. McKee, recognized by Polk County Bar Association as a 50 Year MemberMay 14, 2010 The Polk County Bar Association recently recognized Bruce W. McKee from the law firm of McKee, Voorhees, & Sease, PLC (‘MVS’) as a 50 Year Member at the Polk County Bar Association Annual Meeting of Members. After earning his degree in engineering from Iowa State University, McKee attended American University to study law while he worked as a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office patent examiner until graduating in 1959. McKee then served as an assistant staff judge advocate at the US Air Force Logistics Command until 1962 and then began the practice of law in Des Moines. Today, McKee practices in the area of intellectual property (patents, copyrights, and trademarks). According to McKee, ‘It is difficult to believe I have been practicing intellectual property law for 50 years.
