Show your stuff at AUTMSeptember 29, 2006

The 2007 AUTM Annual Meeting will include a program format called Innovation Showcase. These 90-minute sessions will be organized by scientific discipline (for example, life sciences/biotech and physical sciences/engineering) and will provide a first look at the freshest and most promising technologies from a diverse group of academic, government and not-for-profit laboratories. The format is as follows: short, concise oral presentations made by technology transfer professionals and/or the inventor(s) that demonstrate the value proposition of the technology to potential commercial licensees and collaborators. Meeting rooms will also be provided for follow-up discussion or other similar purposes. In its first year, the Innovation Showcase was successful in fostering relationships with potential licensees. If you have an exciting new technology or business opportunity that you would like to present to potential industrial partners at the Annual Meeting, please download a submission form and submit a non-confidential summary to Aaron Adair aadair@autm.net at AUTM headquarters by October 20, 2006. Use of this form is the preferred format for submissions, however, other formats will be accepted as long as the information provided is all non-confidential and the submission is no more than two pages in length. All submissions must be submitted electronically in a Microsoft Word format.Technologies will be reviewed and scored by a committee of affiliate members from a variety of industries. Submitters will be notified by November about whether they have been selected to make a presentation. For the AUTM members whose technologies are not selected for presentation, the non-confidential summaries will be available on the AUTM Web site for potential partners to peruse. No more than one technology per submitting entity will be chosen for presentation.Stay tuned to the AUTM website for the latest information about the Innovation Showcase. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Gerry Siuta gjsiuta@siutaconsulting.com or Claire Driscoll cdriscol@mail.nih.gov.
