MVS HELPS SECURE WIN IN PATENT CASE AGAINST DEERE & CO.

MVS and co-counsel from Jenner & Block secured a complete defense win for Duroc, LLC, the predecessor to Bush Hog, Inc., in a patent infringement suit brought by Deere & Co. The verdict was announced on December 19, 2013, after a 14-day jury trial before Judge Charles R. Wolle in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa, Davenport Division. The jury found that Duroc and the other defendants did not infringe Deere & Co.s rotary cutter patent and that the patent is invalid, rejecting Deeres request for up to approximately $50 million in damages from the defendants. The MVS trial team representing Duroc included attorneys Jeff Harty and Cory McAnelly. Duroc was also represented by co-counsel from Jenner & Block.
