Kirk Hartung to attend LEGUS Meeting in DenmarkJune 12, 2018

MVS Intellectual Property Attorney, Kirk M. Hartung, is attending the LEGUS (International Network of Law Firms) annual summer meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 21st – June 23rd. Kirk is Chair of the Advisory Board (June 2017 – June 2019) for LEGUS and actively participates to bring legal professionals from all over the world together for networking and industry discussions.

The meeting will encompass topics such as strategic planning, Millennials in the legal profession, client development strategies, litigation, and much more.

According to their website, “LEGUS is an international network of high quality law firms located around the world. LEGUS was founded in 1995 as a Michigan not-for-profit organization to assist law firms in better serving their clients as their needs for worldwide expertise expanded. For 20 years, LEGUS members have developed trusted, valuable and respected relationships with each other. Kirk Hartung received a degree in industrial engineering from Iowa State University and a law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. Kirk joined McKee, Voorhees & Sease in 1982. He is a patent attorney registered with the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office. Kirk specializes in patent protection for mechanical inventions, as well as infringement analysis, strategic positioning, trademark protection, trade secret and copyright evaluations, and related matters. He also provides litigation support on all intellectual property issues. Kirk has written and published a number of articles and law reviews on intellectual property law. Kirk is also available for client or public presentations on intellectual property, the Iowa Inventors’ Hall of Fame, and motivational leadership.
