IP Legal assistants volunteer service with a smileSeptember 4, 2009

Seven members of the intellectual property law office, McKee, Voorhees & Sease, took a long lunch on Thursday, Sept. 3 with great approval from their bosses. However, instead of lounging leisurely, the group joined dozens more in HyVee Hall to prepare, bag and box nutritious meals to third world countries. Last year, the first year for the event, a goal of 3 million meals was set. However, the goal was smashed when the final tally registered at more than 4 million meals were bagged and distributed. This year, due to funding cuts, goals were set to 2.5 million, but organizers are desperately hoping to push over that limit. For more information, visit www.mealsfromtheheartland.org
