Brad J. Powers
Brad J. Powers is a recent graduate from Drake University Law School. He joined MVS in the summer of 2008 as a clerk, and became an associate upon graduation. He holds additional degrees in biology and bioinformatics and computational biology from Iowa State University. Brad brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the growing field of computational biology. While studying for his master’s degree in bioinformatics, Brad had some hands-on experience as an information technology manager for an innovative genetics research firm. During that time, he also helped develop technology that resulted in Pat No. 6,897,020 “Methods and Compositions for Elucidating Relative Protein Expression Levels in Cells.”
Additionally, while in law school, Brad served on the staff of Drake Law Review; received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Award; and participated two semesters in the Drake University Legal Clinic.
