Edmund J. Sease
Ed is a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience litigating intellectual property cases before judges and juries throughout the country. Ed is equally adept as an appellate lawyer representing clients before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and argued before the United State Supreme Court in a precedent-setting case shaping the law of utility patents for plants. Ed's clients appreciate his skills in patent prosecution, including appeals. Ed holds a degree in chemistry and graduated Order of the Coif from Drake University Law School in 1967, where today he is an adjunct professor. He has taught copyright, trademark and patent law as well as courses in intellectual property litigation. Ed has also taught at the University of Iowa College of Law.
